Payment institution agent

A supervised framework to embed certain payment services into your business, under Tractial’s ACPR licence, after eligibility review and compliance validation.

In brief

Payment-institution agent status can allow a company to carry out certain payment activities on behalf of Tractial, after eligibility review and validation. Tractial does not sell a licence. An online diagnostic is never a registration decision.

The payment institution agent status can allow a company to carry out certain payment activities on behalf of a licensed institution, within a defined, supervised and contractual framework. Tractial reviews projects from partners wishing to embed payment services into their business, where the model, flows, users and responsibilities are compatible with the applicable framework.

Nature of the payment services envisaged.

  2. Customers

    Individuals, businesses, or mixed.

What this arrangement is not

Tractial does not “sell” a licence. The agent arrangement is regulated, subject to validation, supervised and limited to a precise scope. Every project must be analysed before any implementation. The agent acts on behalf of the licensed institution: it does not itself become a payment institution.

FAQ

Can any company become a payment institution agent?

No. Eligibility depends on the model, flows, users, countries involved, governance, compliance arrangements and the applicable regulatory framework.

How long does the setup take?

The timeline depends on the project scope, the quality of the application, compliance obligations, technical developments and contractual agreement.

Can the agent communicate as a payment institution?

No. The terms used must comply with the applicable framework and avoid any confusion with Tractial’s regulatory status.

How does this differ from white label?

An agent carries out certain payment activities on behalf of Tractial under a dedicated regulatory framework; white label / grey label is an integration model for services operated by Tractial. Both can be assessed depending on the project.

Is agent registration automatic?

No. Tractial does not register a partner on the basis of an online diagnostic. Instruction, supervision and any registration fall under the applicable framework. Nothing on this page is an eligibility decision.
